I have been climbing for miles, I am weary
I cannot tell the path anymore
I'm trying vainly to keep from drowning
On my own, I've lost sight of the shore
And my heart faints once more with terror
Faltering limbs refuse to go on
I am crushed, defeated, despairing
With nowhere to rest, I am lost
Yet from the heights of the mountains
From the mouth of the ocean storms
I hear a voice and it bids me
Remember the truth that I know
'For, my child, I still go before thee
And, my child, the lighthouse endures
And when your faith has utterly failed you
Tis I who will carry you home.'
